ASUU and the Federal Government set to find a solution to the UTAS- IPPIS crisis within three months


FG instructs the union to send the rundown of issues regarding the system

The Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System and the University Tertiary and Accountability Solution between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities issue have been envisaged to be solved within three months.

The acting Accountant-General of the Federation, Adolphus Aghughu affirmed the union about the development of the IPPIS.

ASUU’s president, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke claimed the significant issue to the educational system was the lack of human resources and stated the relocation of more lectures abroad is imminent.

Also, he made known the change in lecturers’ devotion to their jobs due to the educational system.

He also added that no signatories were made by the consensus reached due to trust after the House of Representatives intervened during the eight-month strike.
