The Academic Staff Union of Universities has agreed to extend its current strike.
The choice was made following the National Executive Council meeting on Monday morning at the union’s headquarters at the University of Abuja.
At the University of Lagos, ASUU have announced the start of a strike on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Ben Goong, a spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Education, indicated in an interview with The PUNCH that the administration has done everything it could to put an end to the strike.
“As for the following measures, the administration has already established a committee to harmonize the IPPIS, UTAS, and UP3,” he stated. As a result, the government will be able to pay using a single platform that will harmonise all of the technical quirks.
