Big Brother Naija 7, a recent reality television program, reportedly used N4.7 billion in production costs, according to John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer of Multichoice Nigeria.
He added that there were over a billion votes cast for the program.
Mr. Ugbe, who congratulated the winner and presented her with the presents, said that the seventh edition, dubbed “Level Up,” was a success since it exceeded expectations and entertained the audience in his remarks during the reward ceremony, which was held on the grounds of Big Brother Naija House.
He congratulated the winner of the show, Phyna for being a new multi-choice ambassador and spoke about how intriguing the reality tv show was and the viewers could attest to that.
Also, he talked about the show’s clout which helped to create jobs for over 10 million Nigerians with a budget worth 4.7 billion, and the show’s accumulation of a billion mark in votes.
“I am glad to present the winner of this edition, Phyna, to you and I congratulate her for becoming our new Ambassador. The show was entertaining as the viewers can testify. It held everyone to the edge of their seat.
