Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne says he is not shocked by Arsenal’s performance this season and is happy to see the team allowing Mikel Arteta, a former assistant coach at Man City, time to develop the Gunners.
The Belgian midfielder sees similarities between their style of play to Arteta’s side as Arteta was once an assistant coach to Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola.
In an interview, he talked out how it is unusual to see top clubs giving managers lots of luxury of time to develop their teams as Arteta has been given enough time to grow the club.
He praised Arsenal for their top-notch performance since the beginning of the season and is glad to see their progression in the season.
Arsenal have been at the top of the English Premier League since the start of the 2022-23 season. Manchester City, where De Bruyne plays has been hot on the heels of Arsenal in second place.
