Jonathan counsels youths to vote for a president who won’t make concessions.

Goodluck Jonathan, a former president of Nigeria, has urged young people to vote for a leader who will prioritize the needs of the country.

A president who has the best interests of the country at heart is all that is currently needed, according to Jonathan, who made the statement on Wednesday in Minna, Niger State, while visiting a former head of state named Abdulsalami Abubakar.

“I appeal to the youth to select a person they believe will lead us well and serve us well, somebody who will take the interests of all of us and the country to heart; a leader who will not compromise our interests for personal gain, especially one who sees Nigeria as a project.

“A leader is also a servant, and as president, you are to lead and you are to serve,” Jonathan stated.

The nation can only be saved, according to the former president, by a candidate who views Nigeria as a project.
