Lagos Igbo group pledges loyalty to Tinubu, pledge to vote enormously for him!

Tinubu-1

Ndigbo members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, have declared their support for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state’s APC governorship candidate, and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, in the 2023 general elections.

In a town hall meeting convened for the endorsement of the two candidates at the Blue Roof event hall on the grounds of Lagos Television, Ikeja, the Ndigbo based their arguments on the idea that they were qualified to advance the state and Nigeria due to their ancestry.

Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the chairman of the APC in Lagos, Lagos State Commissioner for Water and Infrastructure Arch. Kabiru Abdulai, Jude Idimogu, the deputy leader of the Ndi Igbo in the APC, and the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos Sunday Ossai were among the dignitaries present at the town hall summit.

The Ndigbo in the APC claimed that they were backing Tinubu’s bid for the presidency because they were confident that he wouldn’t let down the electorate of the country.

Joe Igbokwe, the leader of the Ndigbo in the APC, who serves as the governor of Lagos State’s special adviser on drainage and water resources, stated APC is their party, and they are committed to its cause.

“APC is our party. We have taken the decision that APC is our party. I will remain a patriotic and loyal member of this party and our commitment will bring results.

He declared that their motives for their affiliation with the party were not conceived on the hand-outs that will enrich their pockets and he pledged their service to Lagos.

“We are not into this party because of what will enter our pockets. We will continue to pay back to Lagos, we need to protect our investment,” He stated.
