Stand firm on Power Shift to South – Give Rivers Votes to APC : Umahi to Wike

Dave Umahi

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, has asked his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, to remain committed to power shift to the South in the 2023 presidential elections.

Speaking during the commissioning of a road project in Rivers State on Tuesday, Umahi also asked Wike to give votes to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the presidential elections.

This is a backdrop to Wike promising to provide “logistics” support to Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

Umahi asserted the APC did not need logistics but needed the votes from Rivers State.

Recall that a few months ago, Umahi and Wike were at loggerheads in a media fight and calling each other all sorts of names.

Nigerian politics is forever intriguing. No permanent enemies. Alliances changing daily.
