Ronaldo Scores Penalty

Portugal edges Ghana in a 3-2 victory in Stadium 974.

Pundits predicted the match to be a different affair despite Portugal’s 4-0 win against Ghana in the friendlies and they got their analysis right.

Moreover, Ghana becomes the first African team to score in the World Cup with goals from André Ayew and Osman Bukari.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke down in tears when singing Portugal’s national anthem. This is going to be the last World Cup the five time ballon d’or winner will participate in.

Ronaldo scored Portugal’s first goal in the campaign from the penalty spot in the 65th minute after his first goal was disallowed in the first half.

He achieves yet another milestone, and becomes the first male player to score in five different World Cups.
